Brian’s Message to Our Buyers and Sellers After Yesterday’s Bank of Canada Rate Announcement

Please note:
Even if the Bank of Canada rate doesn't come down in June, all indications are that it will come down sometime in the next few months.
As long as you qualify for a mortgage (with the stress test), you can still purchase a home before rates come down and go with a short-term mortgage (such as a 1 or 2 year term).
Then when the mortgage comes up for renewal, you will be able to lock in with a lower rate for a longer term.
This way you will not have to compete with hundreds of buyers who flock back into the market once rates come down.
